Joe oversees the entire family of KEPRO companies, including Ohio KEPRO, its Medicare quality improvement organization (QIO), KEPRO Acquisitions, Inc., its commercial health care subsidiary, KEPRO Wellness and the newly acquired APS Healthcare companies.
Under Joe’s leadership, KEPRO has experienced rapid growth, winning large Medicaid contracts, the TRICARE quality monitoring contract, and three Beneficiary and Family Centered Care QIO regions. In fact, KEPRO has become the largest QIO in the nation.
Joe spearheaded the growth of KEPRO Acquisitions, Inc.’s expansion, as well as the acquisition of KEPRO Engage Health, a digital wellness and lifestyle management offering now marketed as KEPRO Wellness. In addition, he expanded KEPRO’s service offering in behavioral health care management through the acquisition of APS Healthcare. During Joe’s tenure as President and CEO, KEPRO has more than tripled in size with nearly 1,000 employees and an expanded presence in more than 40 states.
A dynamic leader with strong strategic planning, negotiating, financial and communications skills, Joe has served KEPRO since 1992. He advanced to the position of Chief Financial Officer in 2001. Joe then took the mantle of CEO in 2004.
He received both his Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Business Administration degree from Penn State University.
